Our Wool Thermal Postal Pockets provide a unique, fully sealed and naturally insulated postal solution for the shipment of chilled food items such as dairy, meat and fish.

They are available in 2 sizes – Small and Medium – and use natural sheep’s wool for sustainable, high-performance insulation. These pockets are a popular year-round choice for smaller chilled food shipments.

PLEASE NOTE

Wool Thermal Postal Pocket samples are available in both sizes for customers to test before placing a full order.

Samples can be ordered online for free as a one-time service per customer, with only £9.99 postage to pay. Only one size per product permitted in any size and only 3 products total per sample basket. Ice packs not included.

HydroFreeze Ice Pack – Samples

What is HydroFreeze™

HydroFreeze™ is our ice pack containing a food safe, water-based formula, designed to support the safe shipping of frozen goods. It works in a similar way to dry ice, but without the associated hazards. Unlike dry ice, HydroFreeze™ products are not classed as hazardous goods when shipping and do not require any specialist handling. HydroFreeze™ is designed to maintain frozen temperatures for extended periods of time. The formula consists of only food approved ingredients commonly found in everyday applications.

As with all ice packs, the colder the freezer the faster they will freeze. HydroFreeze™ products should be frozen to -25°C to achieve optimal performance.
They are a practical alternative to dry ice as they are FSA certified food safe, non-toxic and not classed as hazardous goods. This removes the need for HAZMAT labelling or specialist couriers when shipping frozen products.
HydroFreeze™ ice packs do not sublimate (“melt”), meaning you only need to purchase the quantity required. Packs can be frozen and used to suit specific shipping demands.

EasiFreeze Ice Pack – Samples

Speciality ice pack for the shipment of frozen goods.

Freezing point of -16 °C - Will freeze in a standard freezer at -22 degrees C, or colder for a faster freeze.

Easy to dispose after end of life - Contents of EasiFreeze™ are drain safe and can be flushed through the sink with running water.

Hydropac Gel Ice Packs – Samples

Our Gel Ice Packs use a unique passive cooling gel formula that is mixed with highly purified water, resulting in an FSA & FDA approved, non-toxic solution that is certified food contact safe. The use of the phase change gel formula allows for a more subtle and prolonged thawing process than water-based ice packs. They are available in both courier packs and freezer trays when you place a full order. PLEASE NOTE The samples available through our Sample store have been made available for customers to “try before they buy” and as such only one size is permitted per product sample ordered. There are 2 size options for this product to choose from, with only 3 products permitted in total per sample basket. £15.99 postage charge applies per order.

HydroFreeze+ Ice Pack – Samples

What is HydroFreeze™

HydroFreeze™ and HydroFreeze™+ are our ice packs containing a unique food safe formula, designed to enable safer shipping of frozen goods. They work in the same way as dry ice, but are much safer as, unlike dry ice, HydroFreeze™ products are not classed as hazardous goods when shipping, and they do not require any specialist handling. Both versions of HydroFreeze™ can maintain temperatures at -20°C for an extended period of time. It consists of only food approved, natural ingredients, found in your everyday life! Regular water/gel ice packs phase change at 0°C (the freezing point of water) so once packed inside your insulated box, they will sit at around 0°C while changing from a solid back to a liquid. These regular water/gel ice packs should only be used for shipping chilled food as they phase change at 0°C – not cold enough for frozen food, but perfect for refrigerated goods. HydroFreeze™ products have a phase change point of -20°C, which means they hold that temperature while changing from a solid back to a liquid – and hold the food products inside the insulated box at around the same temperature.

ReflectiveAir Chilled & Frozen System Samples

The Reflective-Air liner works using emissivity; the reflection and deflection of thermal energy, with a metallised PE coating and one layer of bubble insulation. Both the 2D and 3D liners have extensively been tested to extreme temperature profiles and passed; the results of these tests can be found on the Technical Data tab. You can choose to try a sample of the Reflective-Air full system with box included or the liner on its own, in either 2D or 3D layers. 2D liners come in one set size, whereas 3D liners have 4 box options (if box required).
